Spills here, smudges there, dirty fingers, sticky hair....
Lord, I work this way without any pay
what good am I doing day to day?
I change dirty diapers, mop the floor
and wash ten loads of clothes
This grandiose title of "Mother and Mom"
seems more like a janitor's role.
I wipe runny noses and pick up toys
fifty times a day
I vacuum the floor, close the back door....
And hear, " Mom, can all the neighbor kids play?"
But when I slow down and listen
to Your still small voice as I wash a little face
You remind me of Your unending love
as You daily cleanse me by Your grace.

Colossians 3:23-24 And whatsoever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men, Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ.
